School Safety Certification Course
Length of Class: 16 -20 hours 16 hours plus
(4 hour traumatic bleeding and first aid certification available)
Course description:
This course is designed for a minimum of sixteen (16) hours, maximum twenty (20) hours of classroom instruction, written examinations, practical exercises and the Shooting proficiency demonstration.
The material contained within Course is created by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), with additional guideline for Texas License To Carry a Handgun (LTC) Instructors to use in accordance with Texas Government Code §411.1901.
The overall objective of this course is to educate students on the responsibilities related to school safety who are employees of a school district or open-enrollment charter school who hold a license to carry a handgun.
Outlined objectives are:
• Protection of students & staff
• Interaction with first responders on scene
• Tactics for denying an intruder entry into a classroom or school facility as well as engaging the suspect
• Methods for increasing firearm accuracy with a handgun while under duress including tactical drills

School Guardian Certification course fee is $750 for a single student, $650 for 2, $550 for 3 students & special pricing for 6 to 12 at $500 each
Optional Treating Traumatic injury & stop the bleed training with kit $175
